This policy explains what information the Amayo Counseling website (amayocounseling.com) collects and how it is used. It covers this website only. How I protect your health information as a client is explained in my Notice of Privacy Practices.

Information you choose to share

If you fill out the contact form or email me, I receive the information you provide, such as your name, email, phone number, and message. I use it only to respond to you and to schedule a consultation. Please do not include detailed personal or health information in the contact form. We can talk through those details by phone or in a secure session.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, this site is hosted by Squarespace, which may collect basic technical information such as your browser type, device, pages visited, and general location, using cookies and similar tools. This helps keep the site secure and understand how it is used. You can limit cookies through your browser settings.

Scheduling and client records

Appointment requests, intake forms, payments, and telehealth sessions take place through SimplePractice, a secure, HIPAA compliant platform. Information you enter there is governed by my Notice of Privacy Practices and SimplePractice's own privacy policy.

How information is shared

I do not sell, rent, or share website visitor information for marketing. Information is shared only with the service providers that run this website and my practice, or when required by law.

Your choices

You can ask me to update or delete the information you sent through the contact form by emailing carolyn@amayocounseling.com.

Not for emergencies

This website and its contact form are not monitored for emergencies. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide and Crisis Lifeline), call 911, or go to your nearest emergency room.
